The owner of the Miami Design District has revived plans for The Ursa, an office and retail project within the luxury shopping district, with BH3 Management joining as a partner.
The development is planned for 30 Northeast 39th Street and will include 250,000 square feet of office space, alongside 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. The revised proposal represents an increase of roughly 40 percent in office space from the earlier plan.
The project brings a major workplace component back to a district best known for luxury retail, restaurants and design-oriented tenants. Its ground-floor retail allocation would extend the pedestrian-facing commercial activity of the surrounding area while adding offices above.
The revival signals renewed momentum for a project that had been dormant, according to Commercial Observer. Further details on construction timing, leasing and design have not been disclosed in the available information.
