Global law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius has agreed to lease 205,000 square feet at 1251 Avenue of the Americas, where it plans to move its New York City offices.
The transaction involves a substantial block of space at the Midtown Manhattan property owned by Mitsui Fudosan America. The lease was identified in Colliers' third-quarter report on the Manhattan office market.
Morgan Lewis advises clients on corporate transactions, including mergers, alongside specialized consulting work. Its decision to take a large new office footprint underscores the continuing role of major professional-services tenants in the city's leasing market.
Lease duration, financial terms and the timing of the firm's move were not disclosed in the reported deal. The transaction was first reported by Commercial Observer.
