The Palm Beach County Commission has approved Related Ross’ plan for a second convention center hotel in West Palm Beach, clearing the way for a development valued at about $300 million.

The project is planned at 900 South Rosemary and will operate under Hilton’s Curio Collection brand. It is being pursued through a sale-leaseback arrangement, according to a report by Commercial Observer.

Plans call for a 400-room hotel with 20,800 square feet of meeting space and 7,400 square feet of retail space. The scheme would add hotel inventory and event-focused space in the area surrounding the county’s convention center.

The county approval marks a key entitlement step for Related Ross. Further details on the project’s construction schedule, financing partners and lease terms were not included in the reported plans.
